Biography
She was born in St. Paul, MN, but grew up in the DMV. As a result of her past experience of being a teen mom, she had a dream of becoming a nurse where she could create her own path in the healthcare system and provide culturally competent care, free of judgment or discrimination. Following graduating from Bowie State University with honors in 2013, she began her career as a Registered Nurse. That same year, she joined a Non-profit Organization to serve survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. In 2016, she began working on the postpartum unit at AAMC where I was able to spend time caring for patients and their families. I currently serve on the LGBTQIA+ committee as well as W&C counter racism taskforce.
She spent a year in family practice as a nurse practitioner before coming to AOG. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her spouse, their two kids and their four-legged fur babies. She’s a enjoys listening to podcasts, music and dancing. Her happy place is the beach!
