Biography
Dr. Amanda Horton joined Annapolis Ob/Gyn in January 2023. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in New Jersey. She attended American University in Washington, DC for her undergraduate studies and then worked as an Embryologist for Shady Grove Fertility before returning home for her medical training at Temple University School of Medicine. While in medical school, she completed an intensive medical Spanish course in Xela, Guatemala. She graduated with an award for Outstanding Research in Ob/Gyn and completed her residency training at Temple University Hospital where she was awarded the Resident Research Award for her Thesis. After graduating, Dr. Horton worked for several years in academic medicine where she was active in resident and medical student training first at Temple University Hospital and most recently at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She later completed additional training to become a National Certified Menopause Practitioner certified by the North American Menopause Society.
Dr. Horton enjoys caring for women to maintain their optimal health over their lifetime. She is passionate about providing high quality, equitable healthcare to women through science, individualized care and shared decision making. In her free time, Dr. Horton enjoys cooking, yoga, hiking and traveling with her family.
