Biography
Dr. Suleika Just-Buddy Michel is a brilliant board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who joined our practice in September 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in biology at The Johns Hopkins University and medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Michel completed her post-grad training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She has lectured at various Philadelphia colleges and also holds seminars for local schools, churches and other teen organizations in Maryland to discuss female and sexual health. Her best selling book, “WiseTeenz, Faith-based Health Education for Teen Girls” is a wonderful health resource for girls aged 13-18, although her platform now includes seminars for boys too! Her goal is to provide a safe space for all preteens and teens to be educated with age-appropriate information about their bodies. Dr. Michel is co-founder of the Mocha OB alliance, an organization inspired to decrease maternal health disparities nationally. She also co-leads the Maryland patient Safety Center initiative to reduce Black maternal morbidity nd mortality for the state of Maryland. Dr. Michel is an advocate of minimally invasive surgery and is a trained da Vinci robot-assisted gyn surgeon. She has been married for almost 25 years with two children in college. Her outside interests include road cycling and spending time with family and friends. Playing the piano is of special interest, as she is a National Piano Playing Guild lifetime member. With over 22 years of experience, Dr. Michel has played an integral role in our practice.
